Allie Finkle's rules for girls: Glitter girls and the great fake out by Meg Cabot

Series: 5th book (Allie Finkle's rules for girls)

Synopsis: Allie is mega excited when Erica's big sister Missy enters the regional Twirltacular baton competition and Erica is allowed to bring all her best friends to watch. But Allie is also invited to Brittany Hauser's birthday party on the same day and will be driven in a stretch limo to the famous Glitterati store, followed by a night in a five-star hotel. Allie really wants to see Missy perform and she thinks Brittany and her friends are snobby, but riding in a limo is a lifelong dream! She decides a little white lie is the best way to keep everyone happy until everything goes spectacularly wrong and Allie realizes she's made a big mistake. Allie has to learn the hard way that bending the rules is a dangerous game...

My thoughts: I really thought this book talks a lot the importance of honesty. Honesty is one of the most important things in life, and especially for this book, friendships. Brittany's birthday party is so cool! I mean, a limo! Plus that Glitterati store seamed like a blast. Too bad Brittany and her friends weren't nice. If Allie and her actual friends came to Glitterati with her, I feel like she would've had more fun.

Charlie Collier-snoop for hire: The homemade stuffing caper by John Madormo

This is the 1st book in the Charlie Collier- Snoop for hire series

Synopsis:
Seventh grader Charlie Collier has always been able to solve brain teasers in no time at all. And his favorite books have always been mysteries. So when Charlie dons his father's old trench coat--the one his mother thought she brought to Goodwill--and a fedora that should have suffered the same fate, he thinks solving mysteries will be as easy as pie. But then Charlie is presented with a big case. A huge one. That involves the entire town. And Charlie needs more than just smarts to crack this case. He'll need his friend Henry, their client Scarlet, and a class bully who turns out to have some surprising secrets of his own.

I love this series. Charlie is so amazing and brilliant. The way he thinks as a child is just amazing! The mystery in this is almost as good as Sherlock, except, of course, Sherlock is irreplaceable! GO MYSTERY!!!!

The Cay by Theodore Taylor

Synopsis:
Phillip is excited when the Germans invade the small island of CuraƧao. War has always been a game to him, and he’s eager to glimpse it firsthand–until the freighter he and his mother are traveling to the United States on is torpedoed.
When Phillip comes to, he is on a small raft in the middle of the sea. Besides Stew Cat, his only companion is an old West Indian, Timothy. Phillip remembers his mother’s warning about black people: “They are different, and they live differently.”
But by the time the castaways arrive on a small island, Phillip’s head injury has made him blind and dependent on Timothy.

This book was a book I had to read for school, but I still really enjoyed it. This book talked a lot about racism, and equality. That was one of the main reasons I loved the book so much. Phillip was at first not my favourite type of person. I wasn't very pleased with him, but as the story progressed I started to like him more. But honestly... I liked Stew cat the best. GO read it! NOW! It is not like those boring novel studies books, it was such a good choice. Good job School!... wow... I can't believe I just said that...

The Clique: Best friends for never by Lisi Harrison

This book is the 2nd book of The Clique series

Synopsis:
In the second book starring Westchester County's most privileged middle schoolers, the Clique declares Massie a hero for hosting the first boy/girl Halloween party of 8th grade. Massie's already hired Landon Dorsey, the hottest party planner in the 9-1-4 area code, but her parents insist she has to invite the entire class. Unfortunately that means everyone. Layne is bummed that the boys will be there -- she IMs Claire that's so "DESPR8" -- as Claire wonders if maybe a boyfriend will make her happy.Meanwhile, Massie and the Clique are fighting over who gets to invite Derek Herrington. Dylan thought it was obvious that she was the one who danced all night with Derek at the OCD benefit last month, but says "Whatevs" when Kristen gets all weird about it. Fine, she can have him. He was a terrible dancer anyway and there will be tons of guys to choose from at the party...

I haven't read the first book yet, but I did read the graphic novel for it, and seen the movie... *sigh*  I am terrible...  Anywho... I really loved the rivalry and sass in this book  It was such a great book to read, even if there was a lot of mean  stuff, but that's life... with a lot more over exaggeration...

The book thief by Markus Zusak

Synopsis:
It's just a small story really, about, among other things, a girl, some words, an accordionist, some fanatical Germans, a Jewish fist-fighter, and quite a lot of thievery.

Set during World War II in Germany, Markus Zusak's groundbreaking new novel is the story of Liesel Meminger, a foster girl living outside of Munich. Liesel scratches out a meager existence for herself by stealing when she encounters something she can't resist: books. With the help of her accordion-playing foster father, she learns to read and shares her stolen books with her neighbors during bombing raids - as well as with the Jewish man hidden in her basement before he is marched to Dachau.

This is an unforgettable story about the ability of books to feed the soul.

This book was so sad! I cried on the inside... I don't cry... LIKE A MAN! JK, anywho I defiantly think everyone needs to read this! It is filled with history and fiction mixed in one! SO amazing! Plus, it is about books! And stealing! And war! HSUFBIEFHIEFHEIHFEINFURENV AWESOMENESS!

Bessica lefter bites back by Kristen Tracy

Synopsis:
Bessica's settled into middle school life . . . her friendship with Sylvie is back on, she's made some cool new friends, she's dealing with the psycho-bullies, and handling more homework than should ever be allowed. But what's worrying her most these days are her mascot duties. The pressure's on to be the funniest, wildest bear mascot her school's ever seen—and to make sure her rival tiger mascot doesn't humiliate her on the field. Is that even possible?

This was basically your typical Middle school story. Bullies, Friends, Work, and mascots? Honestly I don't see many Mascot MS stories. I was very into this book. It was unique and original, and those are one of the most important traits to a book. Copied books are such a draggggggg!

Bridge to Terabithia by Katherine Paterson

Synopsis:
Jess Aarons' greatest ambition is to be the fastest runner in his grade. He's been practicing all summer and can't wait to see his classmates' faces when he beats them all. But on the first day of school, a new girl boldly crosses over to the boys' side and outruns everyone.

That's not a very promising beginning for a friendship, but Jess and Leslie Burke become inseparable. Together they create Terabithia, a magical kingdom in the woods where the two of them reign as king and queen, and their imaginations set the only limits.

This book is a book everyone MUST read! The imagination and creative ideas thrown into this book was mind blowing. Although it was mostly fun and games there is a lot more emotion than it is called for. If you cry during sad books, Grab your tissue before you start. Just saying.

The boy next door by Laura Dower

Synopsis:
A sassy twist on the evolving middle-school friendship between Taryn and Jeff, the boy next door, told from their alternating points of view. One of the first titles in the new CANDY APPLE line!
Taryn and Jeff have lived next door to each other their whole lives. It never really seemed to matter that they were a girl and a boy -- they were just friends. But when they hit sixth grade, everything changes . . . whether they want it to or not.

I loved this book! the way it talks about Taryn and Jeff's relationship not only past but present too. It was so fun to read about a boy and a girl who are such great friends. Watching (or should I say reading) about their bond and how it grew was just so cool and amazing! There were conflict that made you want to scream and parts so heart warming that you wanted to go grab your friend and give em' a big hug. Honestly, read this book. If you have a long time friend boy or girl, you can defiantly relate!

Synopsis:
Baby-sitting for the Pike family at the Jersey shore, Stacey and Mary Anne anticipate two weeks of sun, sand, and boys, and when Stacey falls for a cute lifeguard, Mary Anne winds up doing the work of two baby-sitters.

They are so lucky! Going on a trip to the nice beach and calm ocean? Plus, they are getting paid for it! Yeah, they are babysitting, but still! I can only imagine how fun that would be! In this book Stacey is all over the Jersey Shore boys... *sigh* Oh Stacey... crazy crazy Stacey. I would probably be more like Mary Anne, stuck with the kids. I really don't understand this whole love-struck thing... Must come in the puberty package...

This is the 7th book in the baby-sitters club series

I could relate to this book soooooo much! I fight with my siblings all the time! It is hard not to when they are so annoying and obnoxious. But we still get along sometimes and have fun together, and that is what makes having siblings great. Claudia and Janine have that same problem except... They don't know when to draw the line with fun! Can't they ever get along?! At least for Mimi's sake? Find out by reading this book!

I found this as such an amazing book. The craziness in this is outrageous! 14 Children! Even for the babysitters club, that is a lot of kids! It is like a 3:1 ratio for each babysitter! I don't know how they are going to pull it off! Oh wait... I do, but you don't. Guess you have to read the book now :P

This is the 4th book in the baby-sitters club series

Synopsis:
When a fight breaks out among the members of the Babysitters Club, timid Mary Anne finds herself becoming more assertive as a baby sitter and in her relationships with her father and friends.

This book was so fun and play with so many of your emotions. Mary Anne really shines in this book, not only is it showing her true colours (in this case good true colours) but also, it shows how much friendships can fall even if you are super close. Another main thing about this book was Dawn! With out giving too much away about Dawn. All I can really say is, she is so cool! But I guess you will guess have to go read this book to find out more about Dawn and the club's man breakup.

This book was amazing! You learn so much about Stacey's past and her secrets! It was so fun reading about Stacey. Also the rival babysitter club was so crazy! The things they did blew my mind... but if you want to know more, you are just going to have to read it for your self :D And trust me it is worth the read :D

So I finally read it and it was totally worth it! The story is fun and crazy, it sends you on loops of fright with this mysterious Phantom Caller.
